EU Whistleblower Directory

Changelog

What changed in the directory's data and method, and when. Including the automated re-check of every vendor page each entry cites.

Automated source monitoring

Every URL cited on a platform profile is re-fetched on a schedule and compared against the version that was read when the entry was verified. A difference does not mean a fact changed — it means the page a fact came from moved, which is where re-verification starts. Differences that do not reproduce on a second fetch are treated as noise and ignored.

Data and method changes

  • · structure

Head-to-head pages cut to the pairs a buyer plausibly searches for

The /compare/ section generated one page for every possible pair of platforms, 6,670 in all. A page now exists only where both platforms carry measured brand search demand in their home market and actually compete for the same shortlist, which leaves 268. Retired URLs redirect to the alternatives page for the platform they named. The rule is published on the comparison hub.

  • · structure

    The directory is filterable

Platforms can now be filtered by country coverage, hosting, entry price, procurement model, certification, AI use, and product scope, with the filter state carried in the URL so a shortlist can be shared. Added coverage pages for each member state with at least three platforms, and a page per procurement requirement.

  • · method

Rubric, evidence tiers, and exclusions published in full

The 25-criterion rubric, the scoring guide for each criterion, the evidence tiers, the scoring-integrity rules, and the list of criteria deliberately not scored are now published on /methodology/. Every platform profile shows its score alongside the evidence tier that produced it.

  • · data

    Field vocabularies normalised

Procurement, pricing, certification, hosting, and entry-price fields had accumulated synonyms (sales_only alongside contact_sales, quote_only alongside quote) that split identical platforms across different values. Collapsed to one vocabulary per field, published in the OpenAPI schema and enforced in the build. Machine readers of /tools/index.json will see the new values.
